The Palines Apartment Hotel - Muntinlupa Near Evia

A peaceful, homey and very clean place, with helpful staff. It’s near 7/11, eateries, sari-sari stores, Evia Mall, Brittany Palazzo, and Teresa Orsini Home for the Aged.

We made do with a quiet week in the apartment, which had a microwave, refrigerator, and electric kettle. We picked up food at Alfamart, though it was a bit of a walk. The gentleman working there always seemed busy, so we felt bad asking him for things. The location is far from everything, and no one seemed able to help us rent a motorbike. That made exploring difficult. We’ve traveled around the Philippines, and other places we stayed have helped arrange one, so I wouldn’t have minded staying here if we could’ve rented a bike. Grab was sometimes available in the area, at least.

It got very hot, so I spent time in my room and went walking with a dear friend I’ve become attracted to. My first trip to the Philippines was really enjoyable, and the locals made me feel welcome. Maybe I’ll stay again next year.

We stayed for a week while studying for finals with my law school classmates, and the WiFi was good enough for that. The rooms and amenities were clean and met our needs. Palazzo Verde is only a seven-minute drive away, so this would work well as a place to stay before or after a wedding there. There are smoke detectors in the rooms and a fire extinguisher by the door. Smoking is supposed to be done in the receiving area, not in the rooms.
