The owners and caretakers are great, but the overall experience was awful. This is a two-tier resort, and the customer experience is shocking if you're not a member, perhaps even if you are. You pay extra to enter, still face premium beer prices, pay for towel rental, and can't count on coffee being available at every food and drink outlet. Avoid this block unless you have a lake-facing room. The other side looks straight onto an active building site.

Mike was quick to respond and really accommodating with all my questions. The unit felt homey and spacious, and it was fairly close to the beach. Great value for the money, and I'd happily stay at Pico De Loro again.

Carola was just okay. The water was smelly and yellowish, and the shared CR by reception wasn't properly maintained. There wasn't enough parking near our unit, and the internet was so poor we switched to mobile data, but the signal was still weak. We ended up cleaning the unit ourselves, including the floor, CR, fridge, dishes, dish dryer, and some dusty surfaces. The shower used the condo's shared pipe heater, with no separate water heater, and the CR had no exhaust ventilation.

We paid 8,100 for one night in two apartments, Carola 310b and Miranda 410b, and they were very far apart. We were told we could go up, but the rooms weren't ready. They had no towels or soap, and the doors were hard to lock and open. No one gave us a contact number in case we needed help, so they should review the room details. Each person also has to pay a 1,000 entrance fee for the pools and beach. The games and other facilities cost extra, and the prices are high.

This was my second time at Pico de Loro. Four days on my own, with some quiet, gave me peace and time to relax. I love the place.
