I picked this hotel because of its good rating and asked about a single room. The receptionist said the only available rooms cost 2700 pesos. Booking.com showed two rooms at 1200 pesos, so I told the receptionist I was making a reservation there. By the time I'd completed it, about 10 minutes later, those rooms were no longer available. It may be legal, but it doesn't feel fair and probably goes against the spirit of booking.com.

The room was okay, but it looked quite different from the Airbnb photos. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, and the bed creaked even with small movements. We lost something near the hotel and asked the front desk for the police or barangay contact number. They said they didn't have one, which was unbelievable. The receptionists weren't good at their jobs and weren't very helpful.

We had a really pleasant stay at New Kong's Hotel. It had a nice feel after the recent renovation, and the rooms had the basic things we needed. The restaurant on the main floor, right next to the hotel, served superb food. Highly recommended!

The rooms are clean. My only issue is that they provide toilet paper just once every two days. I also wonder whether the hotel has security around the clock.

A friend checked me in here. The bedroom and bathroom were clean, and it was a really comfortable room for two, even though I was staying alone. You can still hear the busy road from the third floor, but I'm used to that, so it wasn't a big deal.
