We arrived late at night after flight delays, and the host kindly waited to open the gate for us. They also chatted with us about the whale shark dive and arranged a visit to Tumalog Falls at a fair price. It’s a great little family-run hotel, and the shark dive spot is within walking distance, which really helps if you want an early place in the long queue. The room was clean and comfortable for what we needed.

The rooms were good and the air conditioning worked well, but the CR door had a loose nail and wouldn’t lock. They were able to accommodate two extra adults at short notice, which we appreciated. The location has a great ocean view and is about a 5-10 minute drive from the whale shark viewing spot. For the price, it was definitely worth it.

The double bunk beds worked perfectly for our group of five, and the place was clean enough for us, though I did find a baby cockroach in one of the drawers and took care of it. The bathroom could be better. There was no shower, but we managed with the pail and dipper (tabo/kabo) they provided. Staff were accommodating and offered to arrange a tour guide, but we wanted to do things ourselves and declined. We stayed overnight to see the whale sharks, and the accommodations were just right for that. It’s also not far from the whale shark spot.
