The best parts of our stay were the spacious room, which comfortably fit six, and the two air-conditioning units that kept it cool enough for good sleep despite the heat. We also appreciated the large TV, generous free amenities, clean restrooms with tissue and bidets, and the lovely ice cream. The kiddie pool was fun even for adults, and the staff were polite and attentive throughout. Costa Solana Resort has brand-new facilities with a beautiful look, and the stay was comfortable overall. A few practical things could be better. There was no iron or in-room phone, so Viber was the only way to contact staff, and messages can get backed up when several guests need help. The golf carts were limited, which meant longer shuttle waits. The reception area also had no air-conditioning, making arrival uncomfortable. Drink sizes weren't listed on the menu, and both food and drinks felt expensive for the portions. At breakfast, pancakes and french toast appeared among the free choices with no prices shown. We assumed they came with the buffet, then learned the next day that three pancakes cost P500. That was an unwelcome surprise. Clear prices for all a la carte items would help guests order confidently. We also didn't see any jellyfish warnings at the beach. Staff told us about them only after we asked. Clear signs when swimming conditions aren't suitable would help guests stay safe and comfortable. Costa Solana is lovely, and with these improvements it could make for an even better visit.

Costa Solana looks like a paradise, especially in a small town, and it's striking to find such an upscale resort here. It's still new, though, and some facilities are under construction. Keep the cost in mind: rooms are 10k per night, and the restaurant menu is expensive too.

The food was my favorite part, especially the ensalada solana 🤤. The room was spacious and worked well for a family outing. Swimming in the 3ft-deep pool by the beach came with a great view.

The pool area is spacious, and the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. Since the resort is fairly new, the main pool was still being built during our visit, so we could only use the kiddie pool. Even so, we enjoyed the accommodations and facilities and had a pleasant stay overall. The white sand beach is beautiful, but the water isn't very clear. For clearer swimming spots, you'd need to rent a boat for island hopping. Food choices at the resort restaurant are limited and quite expensive. The property is fairly isolated, with the nearest restaurants, including McDonald’s, about a 20-minute drive away. We also found it hard to reach the front desk or restaurant because there are no phones in the rooms. We walked to the restaurant to place an advance order and were told that contact with the front desk is mainly through Viber. I would still recommend this place for a relaxing getaway near Manila, and hope to see it improve as it develops.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the amenities made for a super relaxing stay. I checked out Costa Solana Resort during its soft opening, and the place was beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed. Don't let the soft opening put you off, the experience already feels top-tier. Highly recommend going early!
