Ms. Ana, the owner, was very pleasant and accommodating. The property is close to the beach, just about a two-minute walk. When we arrived, the pool was pretty dirty, but the staff quickly cleared away the leaves and other things floating in it. We appreciated that. The restaurant was the biggest letdown. At around 5 pm, we couldn’t order merienda because they said they would open at 6, so they only gave us soda. After showering, we found the water pressure so weak that we couldn’t use the shower and had to bathe with cold water from the provided pail and tabo. We returned to the restaurant around 8 pm, only to hear it had already closed. It had opened at 6 and shut at 7, so we had to go to the restaurant next door. Such a hassle. The resort has good potential, and I hope the service improves. I’d still consider it a second choice.

For 3,000, five of us got an overnight stay from 2 pm to noon, with silog breakfast included. The room was spacious and nice, the Wi-Fi was okay, and the air conditioning worked fine. The beach is a two-minute walk away, with lovely white, fine sand.

The water smelled of sulfur, there was mold in every corner, and a used towel was left in the closet. This was the worst place to book in Saud Beach. They try to draw your eye to the wall paintings and towels folded in origami, but I felt that was to keep guests from noticing how bad the place really was.

The relaxed feel and clean, cozy rooms made it easy to unwind at Evangeline Beach Resort. It’s right beside the beach, with a lovely ocean view and a great sunset from the property. A really good place to stay in Pagudpud.

We booked three nights but left on the second day. At 5,000 pesos a night, the service was under one star. The room was more or less okay, but the bathroom looked awful and had no hot or running water. The kitchen was extremely dirty, and using it cost 500 pesos. The pool wasn’t available either.
