The room itself is nice, but housekeeping should check for urine smells in the bathroom before a new guest moves in.

The room was clean and relaxing, with complimentary coffee and water on the counter. Ms. Roan and Ms. Amelia were friendly, accommodating, and quick to help. I enjoyed my stay at Villa Esmeralda and would come back. A few things could be better: the food tasted good, but the portions didn’t justify the price, and the pools need better upkeep. The waiters could also be more proactive about what guests might need. Since we were on the top floor, it would’ve been handy to have snacks and drinks in the room for self-service instead of calling for them. A face towel, hair dryer, and glass in the room would be useful too.

The VIP suite has its own private rooftop overlooks and spans the top three floors. There’s a jetted tub too. So cool, this was awesome!

The restaurant’s breakfast items were good, but the main dishes were a letdown. I ordered pork sinigang and crispy pata, and both came out with hard, dry meat. The pata wasn’t crispy either. They tried to fix the dishes, but even after that, I wasn’t satisfied. Still giving the place five stars. I really enjoyed the ambience, and the room was super clean, bathroom included. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable.

Villa Esmeralda turned out to be a nice, peaceful place for our stay. We needed somewhere to stay while visiting my lola in the province, and found it there.
