The casitas were comfortable, lovely, and thoughtfully designed, and the private pool made our stay even better. We came to Sirom Beach Resort to unwind, and the staff were very accommodating. They went the extra mile and put together a beautiful birthday setup for my friend, which made the celebration feel special. I'd highly recommend it for a celebration or a relaxing getaway.

The beach is lovely: quiet, white sand, and calm water that's great for swimming. I didn't mind the mosquitoes too much, since the place is meant to be low-key, but there were a lot, so bring repellent. The rooms feel a bit dated and the water pressure is low, though the bed is comfy enough that it wasn't a big issue. There are dogs on the property that get very friendly and beg for food during meals. When I raised it, staff brushed it off by saying “they're well-behaved.” A heads-up if you're afraid of dogs. I hope they're vaccinated and that the property is prepared to help guests if a dog gets overexcited and bites. We can't blame the dogs for how they behave, right? The service needs real improvement. At one meal we ordered canned soda and asked for a glass of extra ice so we could have it cold. The reply was “it's already cold,” and it seemed like getting ice was a hassle, sorry. At another meal, when we asked for the menu, staff handed us a menu, paper, and pen, as if we were supposed to write our own orders. We practically had the place to ourselves and were surprised by how little warmth there was. I understand there's no staff on-site after 9 p.m., but by 5 p.m. they were already asking for our dinner orders and anything else we needed because they were going home. A vacation should feel relaxing, not rushed. The menu was limited, and most seafood was out of stock, so we ate elsewhere and got really, really good service. It was a refreshing change. Staff also lounged in shared spaces with their feet up on the couch, loudly watching TikTok or Reels. Maybe it was their break and they deserve the rest, but I hope they get a proper staff rest area so it doesn't feel awkward walking through the lounge hallway while they're trying to relax. One positive: I asked for an early breakfast on our last night, and it was served on time and fresh. That's the only positive service experience I can remember. We drove about six to nine hours from Manila, and with this level of service, the stay wasn't worth it. I'd happily return to the beach, but would probably choose one of the newer, friendlier places in town.

Sirom and the bay were stunning, and this was the most peaceful place in Pangasinan. Everything was clean, and the staff took care of our needs. We loved the watermelon shake, definitely worth trying. Kudos to management.

The beach was beautiful and wide, with calm water and a really peaceful feel. We arrived around 6:30 a.m. at low tide and went straight to explore the shoreline. This is a lovely time of year for a quiet, undisturbed break, and my boyfriend and I were usually the only ones on the beach. **Getting there by public transport** The bus ride takes about six hours, followed by a 45-minute to one-hour tricycle ride. We took the 4:30 p.m. Victory Liner Deluxe Bus, which has a CR, from Cubao to Alaminos Terminal for ₱631 per person and arrived before midnight. From there we took another bus to Sta. Cruz, Zambales, for ₱74 per person, and asked to get off at Dasol proper, by 7-Eleven Dasol. The tricycle ride from Dasol to Tambobong takes about 45 minutes and costs ₱600 one way. We'd suggest arranging a return trip with the driver for ₱1,200 total, plus a tip. **Sirom Beach House (SBH)** Check-in is at 2 p.m. and check-out at noon. Since we were early, we waited at 7-Eleven Dasol before going to Sirom. We reached SBH around 6:30 a.m. and enjoyed the open beachfront. Around 7 a.m., we told staff we had a room booked for that day. They were very accommodating, letting us have breakfast there and use the bathrooms to freshen up before check-in. Our room was ready by brunch, so they let us check in early. Wi-Fi is available and the cell signal is good. Staff aren't on-site around the clock, so let them know ahead if you need something. **Deluxe room, ground floor** The room was a decent size, air-conditioned, and had a very comfortable bed. The TV isn't smart and has no Netflix or cable, but you can play movies or shows from your own USB. The small en suite bathroom was clean and had a hot shower. Towels, shampoo, and body wash were provided. There's no microwave or refrigerator, and we saw a few mosquitoes inside. **Restaurant and tours** The food was delicious but a little pricey. Breakfast options like longsilog and tapsilog cost ₱290-₱350. Main dishes, including beef, chicken, shrimp, fish, or vegetables, start around ₱280-₱380 depending on what's available. Portions are about right for 1.5 people, so one order can feel a little short. Brewed coffee is ₱120 a mug and isn't part of the breakfast package. Keep meal cutoff times in mind and tell staff in advance. You can eat in your room or at the poolside dining area. SBH's island tours cost more than local bangkeros' offers. We found one for ₱1,500 plus a tip and visited Colibra and Crocodile Islands. Tambobong Beach is better for calm swimming; for bigger waves and a more adventurous swim, head to Colibra Island. We enjoyed the stay so much that we extended by one night, though our original room wasn't available, so we had to move. The main downside was nearby residents burning trash and dried leaves in the late afternoon. If smoke bothers you or you have asthma, tell staff so they can assist. Sirom Beach House is a relaxing, peaceful escape and seemed very family- and kid-friendly too.
