Chez Judy Resort

We stayed in a Villa with four large rooms, a private pool, and roomy living and dining areas that were great for photos. It was a perfect fit for our group of 8-10, and I really enjoyed the stay. Chez Judy Resort is close to the best spots in Panglao, while still giving you a relaxing stay and precious privacy. If you're going to Bohol with a big family or a barkada group, consider renting a Villa.

The staff were lovely and accommodating, especially during the event we organized at Villa 1. April was attentive and supportive throughout our five nights there with seven friends at the end of May 2025. Many of us also loved meeting Coco and Cola, the sweet resort dogs who greeted us every day. For their well-being, it could help to put “Do Not Feed Me” on their shirts or provide a limited number of treats in the villas with instructions, so guests know how to interact with them responsibly. The villa looked like the pictures: beautiful, tidy, stylish, and spacious. But a number of things affected our comfort. The master bedroom's air-conditioning was too small for the room, and heat came through the large glass wall during the day, leaving it uncomfortably warm at times. The dining area/sala had no sink, so washing hands or dishes was inconvenient. We were also surprised there was an extra charge to use the dirty kitchen outside, which felt unreasonable for a group of our size. On our second night, the water went out completely. We couldn't shower or even flush after a long day out. There was no reception after 10 PM and management didn't respond, so we waited hours for it to be fixed. The night guard went above and beyond by calling maintenance and helping, even though it wasn't his responsibility. We were grateful to him, but disappointed that management didn't apologize or follow up during our stay. Other things were lacking or in poor condition: the drinking water dispenser ran out quickly for a large group; the dryer didn't dry clothes properly and there was nowhere in or around the villa to hang laundry; the TV was stuck in Chinese settings and difficult to use; and the umbrellas were rusted and broken and should be replaced. The bidets weren't working, there was no trash bin in the dining area, and we would have felt safer if the main villa doors could be locked instead of relying only on individual room keycards. With practical improvements and more responsive management, Villa 1 could be a much better experience for future guests.

The dining stood out for its tasty menu and cozy atmosphere. I had a wholesome stay at Chez Judy Resort, with beautiful accommodations and exceptional service. The hotel vibe struck a nice balance between feeling at home and being on vacation, and the amenities were top-notch. I'd highly recommend it for a relaxing, comfortable stay.

It's in a quiet area, and Alona beach is about a 20-minute walk away. Local transfers are also an option, for around 150-250 PHP. The staff were friendly and kind, the rooms clean and modern, and the pool clean and well cared for. I really recommend it.
