8 Plus Beach Resort

My reservation was confirmed a month ahead, on Sep 2, 2025, for Sep 30 to Oct 3, 2025. I’d already relied on it to finalize my travel plans. Then, just 48 hours before I was due to arrive, the hotel told me they were overbooked and had no room. They even suggested I cancel it myself. I had to scramble to find somewhere else at the last minute, which was stressful and probably more expensive, and it badly disrupted my itinerary. A confirmed booking should be honored. This felt unprofessional and irresponsible, with no accountability from the hotel. They showed little respect for guests by breaking their commitment. Don’t book here if you need reliable accommodation. I wouldn’t want anyone else to end up in the same situation, with no room and no help. There are other hotels that value their guests’ bookings.

We stayed for two weeks for our homeschool adventure. The area was quiet, with parking, and the property sits by the water on the mangrove side. It’s a 3-minute drive or 20-minute walk to the swimming beach. Free breakfast, drinking water, and Wi-Fi were included, with Wi-Fi available in the common areas. The common area also had a microwave. Our room had lovely decor, blackout curtains, plenty of space, big beds, and nice AC. The bathroom had good water pressure, a water heater, towel rack, towels, and toiletries. There was a small balcony with a table and two chairs, nice for coffee or breakfast. The pool was clean. The staff were kind, friendly, and very accommodating, and went out of their way to make the stay pleasant. They even arranged a send-off boodle fight and karaoke the night before we left. Still, money was stolen from our room. The toilets didn’t flush properly, there was no shower curtain or in-room safe, and we had occasional power and water outages. There’s no restaurant on site. For what it offers, I found it way overpriced, more like a $20-25 resort. It didn’t feel suited to foreigners, more like an overpriced local Filipino resort. I wouldn’t return.

The price is far too high for what you get. The pool wasn’t clean, there was no water pressure in the bathrooms, and the beds felt like a hard floor. Not recommended.
