A lot of things are falling apart. There’s mold along the walls on the way to the room, the water heater wouldn’t work, and the bathroom handles crumble in your fingers. There’s a TV, but no reception, not even for local channels, and no trash bins in the room. At least the aircon worked well, the water pressure was strong, and the sheets were clean. It’s really just somewhere to sleep. It’s very close to an ATM and within walking distance of the plaza, church, museum, and souvenir shops.

I booked a room here while guests had another one, so we had the whole hotel to ourselves. It was clean and quiet. The beach front is 600 meters away, but you can walk or take a trike for 14 pesos. I think they’re renovating, since there was no phone line or WiFi. I liked the place, though I wonder why it isn’t fully booked.

I stayed in two of their rooms. One felt quite cramped, while the other worked fine for three people. The location around Baler is pretty central. My main issue was the bathrooms: one had poor lighting, and the shower in the other was broken.

It's close to the town center and the museum. As of March 2018, guests would have had a better stay if the CR door knobs were fixed, ladders were added to the double deck beds, and a small bar of soap and shampoo were provided.

The owners made us feel welcome and were really friendly. It's a clean, affordable place to stay in Baler, somewhere between the cheapest options and pricier Costa Pacifica. I'd definitely come back.
