Kahanamoku Bed & Breakfast

The food was good, and they have vegan options. Staff were happy to handle requests, including an early check-in and extra time at the pool. I got a better rate through Booking.com than by booking direct. The location suits anyone looking for a quieter, more secluded part of town.

It's 10-15 minutes from Baler proper, but the room and service were excellent. Diguisit Falls and Beach are only 5 minutes away. A peaceful spot if you're after some solitude. Thanks especially to Kuya Ipe.

We spent three nights here. The place has a calm, relaxing feel, with a quiet atmosphere, an outdoor pool, and stylish chairs where you can hang out outside your room. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and our room was big enough for the two of us. It came with Netflix and free Wi-Fi. Sabang is a long way off, though. That's where the bus drops you and where most of the good restaurants and Sabang beach are, so we had to pay 150 pesos for a trike ride there. They clean rooms only every two days, but ours still wasn't cleaned on day three. Early check-in costs 100 per hour at kahanamoku, while other hotels let you do it for free, so just arrive at 2pm if you don't want the fee. We found black ants in the room despite not bringing food in, and there was a stain on the comforter. Also, if you're not into vegetables, their breakfast may not be for you.

The stretches with Teacher Camille were just what I needed after two days of hiking, surfing, and exploring parts of Aurora Province. She was kind and really good at teaching. I came from central Baler and had to take a special tricycle to get there, but the trip was worth it. I went for a private yoga session on June 26, 2023, and loved how beautiful and calming the place felt. It's ideal if you're looking for some quiet away from the town center, especially for yoga. I also really liked their coconut cold brew. They served it in a beer cup to go because the large cups had run out. 😂 I'll definitely keep this place in mind for my next trip to Baler!
