One Hive Hotel and Suites

The staff are very friendly, but the breakfast is basic and nothing special. I've stayed here many times on trips back to the Philippines, and this visit didn’t feel worth the price. The toilet was dirty, the walls need painting, and the doors were dirty, with some broken. If you’re not choosy, this place may suit you.

The staff were nice and decent, but my two-person room didn’t really feel meant for two. For the price, the amenities were lacking, including basics like bidets, and there were insects all over the room. If cleanliness, price, and location matter, there are better places to stay in Surigao. I was pretty disappointed with my two-night stay.

The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the location is nice, right in the middle of the city. The place could use a little sprucing up, though. For example, the door takes some effort to close properly.

I’ve stayed here a few times before and have always had a pleasant experience. A few nights ago I tried to check in, but they were fully booked. I’m giving five stars because of Roselyn at the front desk. She was kind, sincere, and helpful, and even walked me out and helped me hail a motorela to the bus station. I wasn’t from the area, and she didn’t want dishonest motorela drivers taking advantage of me. Roselyn showed genuine concern the whole time and embodies true Filipino hospitality. She’s a real blessing to the hotel and to any employer she has in the future. Thank you, Roselyn.
