Momo Beach House

We watched both sunrise and sunset from the shore, and made use of the free paddle board and kayak. The rooms were cozy and the food was great. I also liked the bathroom supplies: bath gel, shampoo and hand soap came in upcycled bottles, helping the resort use less plastic.

It felt like a home away from home, with the cozy feel of home and five-star hotel service. Momo Beach House is so quiet and peaceful. You mostly hear crickets, birds and the sea, with only the occasional motorboat passing. The staff are approachable and friendly, and the customer service is superb. Pure bliss. 💕

The staff were the best part, really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The WiFi was decent too. But the room felt basic for the price, and the air conditioning was loud. I thought it was clean enough until I spotted a previous guest’s dried contact lens beside the sink. Ew. It’s peaceful but isolated, and getting to and from the hotel is a pain. Avoid the dirt road past San Vicente church, it’s long and uncomfortable. The road past Momo Village Hotel is shorter and a little better. The beach was littered and covered in sea grass, so I wouldn’t stay here to swim in the sea.

Christine and Ken were especially friendly and helpful, and I’d give the staff five stars for their service. The view from outside the room was okay, but the room itself wasn’t as nice as the photos. The shower flow was very weak because it was clogged, and the pillowcase had holes. The beach was dirty and the hotel didn’t clean its beachfront, so I had to go to Alona beach instead. The road to the hotel was VERY VERY BUMPY. I don’t want to travel it again.
