The photos on the websites looked nice, but the room we got was old style, with nowhere to hang wet clothes and a very small bathroom. There were so many mosquitoes; we killed them every single day. The beachfront wasn't very nice and was dirty, though snorkeling was good. The restaurants were very good, and the food was nice.

The prices are surprisingly low, especially beside nearby hotels, and the hospitality makes you feel like a VIP. The grounds, though, don't look as maintained as they do in the Google photos. If you want beachfront, good food, and impressive hospitality, Muro-Ami is a solid choice.

We happened upon the restaurant while visiting Doljo beach and stopped in for lunch. The menu had lots of genuine local dishes, and the prices were quite low for Panglao. We tried three fish dishes, all fresh and tasty. There's also a lovely path to a sunset viewpoint, so it's worth a visit even if you're based in Alona or farther away.

A cozy, laid-back place that isn't too crowded, with real Filipino food at good prices and great service. The juices are amazing 😍 😋. I'm posting this using their wifi, and plan to come back for breakfast and lunch over the next few days!
