You have to walk past the owner's house to reach your room, and Emil may come in while you're away and switch off anything using electricity. Guests aren't allowed, and there is no parking. The pool is sized for kids, not adults, and there's no breakfast. It's at least 5 kilometers from the beach, out in the sticks. Emil was very rude to me. I stayed and regretted it. I'd look for a place near the beach, and wouldn't trust the glowing reviews. They seem paid.

I was looking for somewhere long term while spending 3.5 months in Panglao for freediving training. Moravian Apartments had the strongest reviews, so I booked, and I'm really glad I did. For someone on a budget, the price was fantastic, and I liked being somewhere quiet away from the noisy tourist areas. The room and bathroom were simple but had what I needed, the AC was cold, and I spent hot afternoons by the pool chatting with my neighbor. Emil was a big part of what made it work. He was friendly, helpful whenever I needed something, and had the same dry humor I do. A good landlord matters for a longer stay, and negative landlord comments about other places put me off them. My friends stayed here for a few days when they visited and were happy too. I'd recommend it for a longer stay, and can't wait to come back.

The owner was so friendly, and the place smelled really clean when we arrived. We had planned on two nights but stayed almost a week. It's about 15 minutes by motorcycle from the main avenue, and we were very comfortable there. I'd go back a thousand times. 🤍
