The owner is especially approachable and accommodating, and the staff are friendly, polite, and ready to help. That made the stay comfortable and stress free. Selectum Mangrove Resort has a relaxing, well-kept ambiance, good satisfying food, and an on-site gym, which is a real plus if you like to stay active. I’d happily visit again and recommend it.

The owners and staff made us feel like family, and they’re big dog lovers, which says a lot about them 😁. They also sorted our port transfers, a last-minute car rental during high season, island tours, and scuba diving with reputable companies. We spent six nights here and had an awesome time. It’s in a chill area about 10 minutes by tuktuk from lively Alona Beach. The rooms are extremely clean and serviced daily, and the internet was great, one of the few hotels we stayed in Philippines using Wi-Fi 6 routers. Though it’s a small hotel, there’s a restaurant on site serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and other good restaurants nearby. This was the highlight of our Philippines trip, and I’d highly recommend it.

A good choice if you want to avoid the busy, noisy Alona Beach area. It’s quiet and peaceful, with a pool, gym, and restaurant. It’s a little off the main road, but you can get a tuktuk or bring your own motorcycle. The rooms are clean and decent, with a hot shower, aircon, ceiling fan, TV, refrigerator, and balcony. Other tourist spots nearby include Napaling Reef and North Zen Villas.

A little way from the center, but everything is a short drive away. I really enjoyed this simple, peaceful resort surrounded by nature. The staff were super kind and helpful, and the atmosphere felt calm and genuine. Great if you want to slow down and relax for a bit.
