The old-fashioned architecture gave the visit a nostalgic feel, especially with Paoay Church nearby. The staff kindly brought us hangers and coffee mugs when we asked. One thing to know is that I don't remember many other places that didn't provide basic toiletries.

We stayed one night to rest before continuing to our destination, and it was comfortable enough for an affordable stop in Paoay. Breakfast costs an extra 150 pesos. For the price, we felt the stay was worth it 🙂

The easy check-in and accommodating staff made this one of my smoothest stays as a traveller. It's right beside magnificent Paoay Church, and the service was top tier. The place is a little old, but still cozy and worth the price. Thank you, Balay Travel Lodge, for a stay I'll remember. I'll definitely return and stay longer in Paoay 😊

The power went out from 1:30 to 5AM, leaving guests without aircon in a place full of mosquitoes and with no generator ready to use. Staff only called the maintenance guy to get the generator's battery after guests started asking about the outage around 5AM. That's disappointing, especially since the hotel storing the generator was just 15 minutes away.
