OYO 1021 Seventy Five Inn

After arriving late at night following two long flights, we found out RedDoorz Plus said there was no booking in its system. They had left us waiting for an hour before telling us. We had another flight in the morning, so there was no time to find another hotel, and the only room they had left cost more, so we had to pay again. Since they didn't give us a zero-balance receipt, we couldn't get the money back for our original Booking.com reservation. A really bad experience.

The restaurant breakfast was excellent, and the hotel is very convenient for the airport. Staff were really friendly, the WiFi was mostly reliable, and the air conditioning worked great. The room was moderately clean, and the shower was fine. It was nice to have soap and shampoo. They didn't have a printer for my boarding pass, and it felt a bit odd having to wait for a room inspection before leaving, though maybe that's how they do things in the Philippines. Good value, and a good place to stay.

After charging us in full and confirming the reservation, the hotel refused to let us check in when we arrived. We were left outside with our child and nowhere to stay. Nobody gave us a real explanation or offered any help or solution. Taking our money and then turning us away felt completely unethical and irresponsible, especially with a kid involved. Based on what happened, we don't trust this place to care about guests' safety or well-being. Travelers should be very careful, and we'd strongly advise staying somewhere else.

The staff were polite and did try to help, but we left after about 30 minutes and booked at Okada. We couldn't find a Grab taxi nearby, so a local driver charged us 2,000 PHP for the trip. We had first been given the quadruple room we booked, but it was full of cockroaches, with construction still going on and tools and cement around. They moved us to a smaller room with one bed, and that room had leaks too. Neither room looked like the photos.
