Bing's Place

The woman who helped me was lovely. She didn't speak English, but she carried my luggage and pointed out on a map how to walk to the airport via the Runway by Belmont Hotel. It took me 25 minutes with my very large, heavy suitcase, though it might be quicker with smaller luggage. There was no proper check-in or reception area: I went up a few flights of stairs, and she showed me to a room without asking my name or checking ID. It felt like anyone could have walked in from the street. I was excited to stay here the night before my 8am flight, but that didn't last. As I was settling down, I heard scratching and found two mice on the pillow and mattress. I moved to the other side of the bed, then one ran over my leg. The woman helped me switch rooms, up another flight of stairs, but two more mice were scrambling around inside my bag when I picked it up. I was horrified. In the upstairs room, three huge cockroaches were flying around. It was 1am, and I had to get up at 5am for my flight. She helped get rid of them, but when I was about to sleep, I heard the mice scratching and squeaking again. I looked for somewhere else to stay, but at 2am that wasn't easy, so I lay there hoping nothing else would come near me. The mattress was comfortable, apparently the mice liked it too. If you can't deal with mice and cockroaches, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The woman helping me was lovely, though.
