The building felt substandard for an AirBNB. The walls are thin enough that I could hear neighbors watching TV and doors opening and closing. It wasn’t very comfortable. I was new to the building and trying to find the right place because my friend had checked in before me. In the heat I got confused and unknowingly went to another tower. There were no signs showing which tower was correct, and I took the wrong elevator, thinking the elevators from one lobby all went to the same level. I got off and headed across to the other side. A man in a blue uniform, maybe security or concierge, confronted me as though I were a criminal and shouted instead of asking politely. It was embarrassing with so many people listening. I was new there and disoriented, and he could have simply approached and asked. This is why I feel some Filipino people are ill-mannered. I have a good heart, so I didn’t report the worker or try to get him fired. I wish there were an option to give zero stars. The guards and concierge were obnoxious and unprofessional.

Like other SMDC residences, the lobby is impressive, airy, and makes a good Instagram backdrop. The halls feel eerie, almost like a hospital. How the units feel really depends on their owners and how they’ve decorated them.

I paid on Booking.com for a two-bedroom apartment in Tower 2, room 461, but was given a one-bedroom twice. It was one bedroom with a pull-out sofa and a curtain. This was my second try at getting what I’d booked, and after hours of trying to get any sense out of the owner, I gave in. I told them it was fraud to list it as a two-bedroom when that’s what I paid for. The bed was uncomfortable, the old linen had holes, and there were cockroaches everywhere. The kettle didn’t work, I couldn’t get internet, and the noise was ridiculous, with planes landing every 10 minutes. The bathroom cupboards were falling off, the walls were dirty, and the kitchen wasn’t hygienic. Do yourself a favor and don’t book at Shore 3 Apartment's.

I had a staycation here and really liked the place. Planes pass overhead all the time, and you can hear them too. Not sure if that’s a downside for everyone.
