Skyport Hotel

The room was luxurious and comfortable, and the staff were polite and nice. It felt like good value for such a pleasant hotel, and I’d stay again. We were there for two nights and checked in at 3 a.m., though, and the airport pickup being late made an already tiring arrival more stressful. We were anxious too, since we were in a country we didn’t know. The free shuttle is a nice option, but the thin walls meant I woke around 5 a.m. to guests shouting in the hall. Construction noise was another issue.

There were no bath towels because, as we were told, the laundry hadn’t arrived. The heater didn’t work either. Parking was another problem: a hotel this size has only three spaces, or possibly none available. Staff didn’t offer help while I carried our luggage, and security just watched. If you’re considering staying here, look elsewhere. They don’t deserve your money.

The breakfast we requested at 8:30 yesterday didn’t arrive until almost 10, even though breakfast starts at 8. Other hotels serve it around 6:30, so I don’t understand the delay. My sister and brother-in-law had also asked the front desk the day before for a 4 a.m. wake-up call and a 4:30 airport shuttle. Nobody called at the requested time, and staff only called at 4:18. The shuttle didn’t take them at 4:30 either. The night-shift front desk staff member wasn’t friendly and didn’t seem to know how to smile. The day-shift woman smiled and spoke to us respectfully.

I booked one night at Skyport Hotel Manila for my mom and son after a long-awaited holiday abroad, and they came away very happy. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well kept, with comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities. They especially liked the breakfast selection, including the local dishes. Getting to NAIA Terminal 2 was easy from here, and the complimentary shuttle made the airport trip smooth. They also found the staff attentive and kind, from check-in through the rest of the stay. A really comfortable spot for a family reunion.
