The staff were very courteous. The location is handy, right in town and just a few steps from restaurants, shopping malls, groceries, the public market, and other services. The rooms were another story. The first one we got was far away, and my wife found that the sheets and pillowcases hadn't been changed. There was hair all over them, including eyebrows and eyelashes, and the pillowcase was torn and heavily stained. The toilet seat still had dried urine droplets. We were exhausted and needed to rest, so they moved us to another room. Its sheets had been changed, but the furnishings were still very dusty, and the couch upholstery was torn. The shower had no door, so splashes could leave the whole bathroom floor wet.

The lobby is spacious and nicely arranged, with lots of sofas, so friends and relatives can sit there when they visit. The rooms are big and the bed was cozy. The air conditioning was good, too. Showering wasn't much fun, though. There's no sliding shower door or bathroom mat. The couch and ottoman in our room also need updating.

Jan 2026: We came back because there aren't other good hotels in the area and this one was close to the event we were attending. The elevator was finally working again after being out of order for months following the typhoon in late 2024. The reception and second-floor lounge are decent, but the hotel needs proper upkeep. It's only six years old, yet it looks like the lack of guests during Covid left it damaged and neglected. The photos show the condition of the toilets, beds, curtains, and toilet seats. Some pillows have mould, the pillowcases need replacing, and the mattresses sag. Staff are polite, and housekeeping responds quickly, but the place needs better management. It doesn't seem like a supervisor checks rooms before guests arrive to make sure they're up to standard. Just look at the curtains. I really hope the owner does something about it. Jan 2025: The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean apart from the sofa and ottoman, which were so filthy I couldn't bring myself to sit on them. The shower area is open, so water splashes outside the bath area. There's no phone in the room to contact housekeeping, so you have to go down to reception for towels and other things. The hotel used to offer complimentary breakfast, but the restaurant closed after the chef resigned. It has the potential to be a four-star hotel, but it doesn't seem to be managed properly. If you're used to complete amenities and a very clean room, this hotel isn't for you.

The room was spacious, but poorly maintained, and the bathroom wasn't clean. While I was showering, the water suddenly stopped even though I still had soap on me, so I had to call the front desk to get it sorted. I also nearly forgot to mention that the lavatory sink was half clogged.

The hotel is right beside a mall, and across the street there's a 24-hour restaurant that serves really good food, though it has no air conditioning. Rates are quite fair. Staff are nice, although they do seem short-handed. The room was really big but a little bare, with a desk, a TV table, and a king-sized bed. The TV and cable picture were clear and good enough. There's still no coffee shop, so they serve the complimentary breakfast in your room.
