Phoenix.PG Diving Resort

The diving was good, but the stay at the hotel was disappointing and way overpriced for what you get. My room was old and cramped, with a terrible mattress that was so soft I sank into the middle. The sheets kept coming off. Hot water was unreliable, and the wifi cut out a lot. The staff were friendly and tried to help, but management was awful. The owner was in China and wouldn't let local staff make decisions without contacting them first, so every question or request turned into a long game of telephone. After checkout, it took over an hour to get an invoice because the owner had misled us about which promotions applied to our stay. I don't call people liars lightly. We had several screenshots of direct messages where the owner said exactly which promotions we could use, but at checkout they pulled the rug out and said none of them applied. The dive package was overpriced too. The room wasn't worth what we paid, and after checking out I moved to a cheaper, nicer hotel where fun dives cost 500 pesos less per dive than what phoenix charged in its 15 dive package. The food wasn't worth the price either. The hotel is so far from town that finding food elsewhere means making a trip, and I’m sure they charge extra because guests are kind of trapped there. The local staff were very nice and did their best, but bad management ruined the experience. I can't recommend staying here.

We'd originally hoped to book VIP 1, but it was occupied, so I ended up in the B6 room offered by Rnote. I thought I'd booked a VIP room, and the way my friend and I were treated made it feel that way. The customer service was right, and this room was even better for me: I could see the sea and morning light, and check whether my instructor was waiting by the pool for my lesson. My sleepyhead roommate was even coaxed awake by the daylight to see the sunrise while eating breakfast delivered by the lady they called "Emm?" or "May?" I sometimes get the names of those two staff wrong, but whichever department they're in, they'll do what I ask. Super flexible!!! See you again, gals. P.S. I won't bring this lazy head with me next time. I keep changing plans around her sleepiness. hahaha. Peace, roommate.

The diving was amazing, and I got to explore so much. Our room was clean, had a nice feel and fresh air, and the food was delicious. The staff were attentive and accommodating too. I had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

How did I not know about this hidden paradise before? 🤯🤬 I just had to post about it! The room was cozy, the air breezy, the tide, the food, the people, all 💯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m impulsive and tend to want things right away, but they made it happen. I asked late at night about snorkeling, and in the morning it was like magic 🪄. The food, guide, and everything were all set. Sorry to the staff for being so needy, but they exceeded my expectations!!! Must come back 🤜🤛 I’ll stay more days with the package I bought for us, my boo Chris. ♥️♥️♥️
