Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel - Palawan

The staff were friendly, attentive, and nice, and there was a free shuttle to the airport. Breakfast was included with lots of choices, and the price felt worth it. The room was clean and spacious, with a hot shower, TV, Wi-Fi, pool, and gym. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Puerto Princesa. Highly recommend.

For what we paid, we found it quite expensive. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom well cared for, and the staff were very nice and attentive, so at first glance there wasn't much to complain about. But my boyfriend is 185cm and I'm around 176cm, and neither of us could lie properly on the bed because our feet stuck out. It was narrow too, so I guess you have to cuddle up. Breakfast tasted good, though the cheese was very moist and there wasn't much choice compared with other hotels. The gym was very basic, and the pool was smaller than we'd expected, with the photos not looking like real life.

One of the few times in the Philippines I actually had a quiet room all night, with no roosters, revving, or dogs barking. The staff were so helpful and nice, and I was really impressed. The rooms are great, the breakfast buffet fantastic, and the pool is nice too. I didn't get to try the spa services, but the prices looked really good. To me, this seems like the nicest hotel in the city.

The gym was the one drawback for me. It was very small and short on equipment; it would be much better at around 50 square meters, with a couple more treadmills. Otherwise, this was the best hotel I stayed at during my three weeks in Palawan. The view of the lush green forest from the room was beautiful, breakfast was excellent, and the service was great. It's close enough to the town center to walk around, and the free airport shuttle made the stay more comfortable. I'd highly recommend it to others.
