The owners and caretakers made our two nights feel like a family vacation, with wonderful hospitality. Kuya Zaldy, the owner, picked us up at the airport even though our flight was delayed by more than an hour. They had hearty breakfasts ready each morning, arranged our tours, and shared suggestions for dining and souvenir shopping. The rooms are clean and spacious for affordable rates, and the common dining area has strong, steady wifi, which was a big plus for me. I highly recommend staying here, especially for couples and families. Don't look elsewhere, stay at EJ Pension House! 😊

The room was clean, with decent airco and cable TV, though there were ants everywhere. The location was okay, down a muddy dirt road, which wasn't a big deal. WiFi never worked in my room during my stay. The owners kept the gates locked, so in the evening they had to open them personally for anyone to get in or out. I had booked and paid for two adults, but when my second guest arrived the next day, they didn't want to let them in and we had quite a confrontation. I wasn't pleased. There are other options in Puerto Princessa, so choose a better one.

It's surrounded by trees, so there's greenery around, and EJ Pension House is about a 10-minute ride from Puerto Princesa International Airport. There's no complimentary breakfast. They take a credit card as a guarantee, saying you can pay for the stay afterward, but when settling the bill they only accept cash. It may be better to pay the full reservation amount at check-in instead of using your debit card just as ID.

The host family were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfy, quiet, and clean. They provide hot and cold water, and you can arrange tours or transportation with them. It's a bit far from restaurants and shops, so you'll need a tricycle. The fare changes depending on the driver, around 50 pesos to town. Such kind, helpful staff. They picked us up at the airport and even made us breakfast super early, at 05.00 am. Cleanest hostel in Palawan, highly recommended!
