There were some drawbacks: the water pressure was low, and we couldn't control its temperature, so we had to use a bucket to shower. The coffee was instant. On the plus side, the owner or manager was attentive and helpful, the employees were friendly, and the price was reasonable. Our executive room had sofas, a table, chairs, big mirrors, air conditioning, and a hot shower. There was a beautiful garden, free water from a purifier, and breakfast was served, though not for fan rooms. The bed was very good quality.

We got good value for the low cost, though the breakfast was only OK: two slices of white toast, a fried egg, some butter, jam, and a banana. The rooms are dated and not especially clean, but they're spacious, and the beds were more comfortable than I expected given the thin mattress. I'm giving three stars because our first room smelled a bit damp, the bed felt slightly damp, and there were clear old leakage marks on the ceiling. We decided to stay anyway. During rain and a thunderstorm that night, a loud bang woke us. I got up to watch the lightning and noticed water leaking above a plugged-in TV and nearly €750,- worth of our electronics. The camera and e-reader covers got wet, though the devices were OK. There was also a fire hazard from water above the plugged-in TV, plus a leak above the bed. We asked for another room, which was much better and dry. With almost no other guests, why put us in a room that was apparently still leaking during f'ing rainy season? That really pisses me off. Still good value though. :-)

For the cheap price, the stay was very satisfying, and breakfast was free. The airport used to be near its main entrance, about 350 meters or a 4-5 minute walk away, but it has built a new one around 2.8 kilometers away. A tricycle, one of the local transport options, is still a single ride and costs tourists 50 pesos. You can also ask reception to arrange a ride to the airport.

We arrived last night from Elnido and checked in at midnight. I knew the rate was cheap, so I wasn't expecting much. The room had no AC and smelled old. Around 1am, as I was about to sleep, I couldn't move my body and saw an old man standing beside us. I heard a singing voice in my ears. We got up quickly and moved to the nearest hotel. In the tricycle, I asked the driver whether there had been reports of a ghost in that area, and he confirmed it. What I saw was the hotel owner, an old man.

The included breakfast is tiny, so don't count on it. Also, the airport isn't reachable on foot anymore. Still, it's great value for money: the room is huge, the WiFi is good, and the executive option includes all the basic needs. They can keep your bags for several days if you're going to El Nido or somewhere similar.
