OYO 880 Flores De Musa Inn

The staff were the one good part. They were polite the whole time and tried to sort things out. We had problem after problem with things in the room that were supposed to work or be clean. When we arrived and tried to wash our hands, the bathroom tap was clogged. We told the staff, then the water stopped running too. It seemed to affect more rooms, since they offered us another room that had the same issue. They said water should be back in 15 minutes, but after reading other reviews saying this happens again and again, we didn’t think they were actually fixing it. We stayed in our original room and asked them to clean out the clog while we were away. After an afternoon out, we returned to find the AC barely working and not getting cold. We were sweating, so they moved us to a slightly bigger room where the AC worked properly. The towels there were dirty, as shown in the photo I uploaded. At bedtime, the pillow smelled bad and felt disgusting, like it hadn’t been cleaned. The first and second rooms had windows facing an inner hallway, so there was no natural light and the curtains had to stay closed. The room was also advertised with WiFi, but the signal only reached the lobby, not the rooms.

The staff were really friendly and answered our questions and requests promptly. The neighborhood is relatively quiet, and plenty of tricycles pass during the day, so getting around wasn’t a problem. For our early flight, we let the receptionist know ahead of time and they arranged an affordable airport trike transfer, around 200 pesos I think. The hotel is cheap, so if you’re not too picky and just need somewhere to sleep, it may be good enough. But expect low water pressure, musty rooms with aged interiors, and rooms without windows. They aren’t soundproof either. I could hear other guests talking in the hallway, sometimes shockingly clearly. The online photos are quite outdated, so the place was a surprise. There’s no complimentary coffee in the room. Hot water is available out in the hallway in a very rustic lounge area, so bring your own instant coffee.

Rose and Max, the owners, were incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was right during our stay at Flores de Musa. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable king-sized bed and a hot shower, everything we needed to relax. The price was very affordable for the quality, and the location was accessible with parking available. Highly recommended!

The staff were SO helpful with directions for getting to places each day, and tricycles were always waiting at the door. The location was brilliant. The water machines meant we could refill our bottles every day and save money. The one downside was the bedroom window, which faced the corridor. We had to keep the curtains shut day and night, and there were no lamps in the room either. It was a struggle for all 4 days with no natural light at all.
