Munting Paraiso

We booked through an app and got there in under 45 minutes during an emergency. The staff welcomed us warmly and were fantastic throughout. The rooms were clean and comfortable without being fancy, and the restaurant was wonderful. Jen was a lovely hostess and server there. The bungalows sit close together in a small village within the compound, with a nice balance of privacy and a sense of community. It’s a little off the beaten path, but worth the effort to find. Once you’re there, the staff can arrange transport whenever you need it. The tour companies they work with were dependable, trustworthy, and friendly. Such a lucky find on short notice, especially for a place listed as 3-star that treated us like 5-star guests.

We picked Munting Paraiso for our first wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be a peaceful, relaxing retreat. The huge Acacia tree in front of our room made a canopy overhead, so the sun and heat were barely noticeable during the day, which was perfect for Puerto Princesa. I’m a big fan of fabrics and linens, and the bedding was so comfortable. The staff were kind and keen to help, too. I’d recommend staying here if you want to relax and enjoy yourself.

I also enjoyed relaxing by the pool, eating at the restaurant, and resting in the cozy room. The spa and restaurant both offered high-quality experiences, and the hotel’s other amenities exceeded what I expected. From arrival onward, the staff were friendly and attentive, taking care of details to make my stay feel special. My room was stylish and comfortable, with breathtaking views. I found my stay at Munting Paraiso well worth it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing visit.

We spent seven nights here while visiting family who live down the street. The pool was nice, and so was the restaurant. The hotel is owned by a Swiss family, and as a European I could see that reflected in the service and room quality. The staff were great, especially Leo. If any issues came up, they were handled quickly. It felt like a 5-star hotel experience even though it’s marketed as 3-star.
