Tiwis Travellers Inn

Everything was great during my stay with the family. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and breakfast was great too. We rented scooters onsite for much less than at other rental shops. They also offer in-house laundry, and the owner helped us book an underground river tour at the last minute. I liked that the property was fenced for security, and I’ll definitely recommend the place to friends visiting Palawan.

The balcony was a highlight, and the room was roomy and spotless. It was also peaceful, with welcoming staff. I rented a scooter, and the breakfast they delivered was delicious. The free water and coffee were a thoughtful extra. I’d happily stay here again.

We came to Palawan hoping for a relaxing vacation, but the constant noise made that difficult. It was especially bad at night, with loud sounds sometimes continuing until 2 or 3 a.m., so getting proper sleep was almost impossible. The inn sits in a noisy residential neighborhood, and nobody addressed the problem. Other reviews suggest this happens repeatedly. If peace and rest are what you need, I’d avoid places in neighborhoods like this.

You’ll hear the neighborhood all night: barking dogs, meowing cats, scooters, and other noise. When I raised it, the host gave the usual denial, so I lowered my service rating. Maybe they’re the ones throwing stones at the cats? Either way, take their advice and stay somewhere else, or see for yourself.
