The location was really good, with the lobby looking out onto the street. Our private twin room had a double bed and a bunk, and while it wasn’t spacious, it was comfortable. The aircon had temperature controls, and the shared bathroom looked nice. On our last night, though, the power went out and woke us at 3 a.m. to a nonstop alarm and emergency lights flooding the room.

I had a good stay at Treehouse Inn and would book it again. The front desk staff were pleasant and looked after me well, and the room was clean. The bathroom and toilet had broken parts, though, and finding a wall socket to charge my devices was difficult. The single extension cord in our shared room wasn’t enough.

The beds were comfortable, and there was free drinking water plus plates and cutlery. WiFi was okay, but the showers were dirty and two of the three were broken. During my stay, money went missing from my purse. I had no roommates then, so I can only blame the staff. It made an otherwise average stay worse.

It’s across from a big mall and not far from the airport. The dorm setup is about as basic as a hostel gets: none of the outlets in my room worked, and only one bathroom sink was usable.

For a 350php hostel, it was pretty much what I expected. The AC worked well, which was nice. The staff handled the transactions and their duties, but didn’t go beyond that. The showers and restrooms were at the usual hostel standard.
