Park Vil-la Apartelle

For three of us, it was nice having three single beds and a roomy bathroom. Everything was clean, and we slept well. The receptionist was accommodating, though it took a long time to get to our room. The place is very cheap but clean, and feels more like a family inn than an sx motel. There’s a refundable 100-peso deposit. Rates are 1200 for 10 hours, 1300 for 12 hours, and 1500 for 24 hours, plus the 100 deposit. I’d stay here again if I have business in the area.

The rooms were clean and smelled nice, and the atrium lobby is a great place to socialize. The blankets, though, are thin, more like curtains or bedsheets.

It was a decent, low-cost place to sleep, and I’d recommend it for that. Everything was clean and tidy, though some rooms’ air conditioners don’t cool very well. A few old TVs still need replacing, even with a cheap LCD, because their colors are fading and they’re hard to look at. The walls are thin, so it may not suit you if you want a soundproof room.

The old house conversion gives Park Vil-La hotel on Quezon Avenue a distinctive feel. It’s a budget stay rather than a luxurious one, and the rooms look old, but they were reasonably clean and well maintained. Its convenient location near my office was a big plus. A few things to know: complimentary toiletries aren’t provided, though you can buy them in the lobby, and there aren’t many power outlets, which can be inconvenient if you have several devices. I also heard noise from other guests during my stay. If you’re after an affordable place and can live with a few compromises, Park Vil-La could be worth considering.
