The museum next door and the chance to explore Quezon City, San Juan, and Mandaluyong make this a distinctive place to stay. We came after a lovely wedding reception at Gallery MiraNila by Blue Leaf, which was very convenient. The Henry has kept the old charm while adding loose furniture that fits the historic feel. Breakfast from Bizu was fantastic. Just be aware there’s no elevator, so you’ll need to walk up two or three floors.

The balcony looks out over beautiful grounds, and with birds outside and espresso in the morning, the stay felt quite pampering. Breakfast is included, with American and Filipino options and decent portions, and the value is excellent compared with other nearby places. The rooms are tastefully furnished, recently renovated, and have comfy linens, modern fixtures, streaming TV, reliable hot water, and AC. Staff were super friendly, and connecting rooms are available. We were a family of three in the master suite, which fit us modestly. There’s no elevator, so people with limited mobility would have to manage four short flights of stairs. Street-facing rooms can be noisy because the windows are single pane, and event setup takedowns on the shared grounds can also be heard. The grounds include an ancestral home and museum, event space, and a small chapel.
