The staff were kind and easy to talk to, and when we left they offered to take us back to the city on their private boat. They even held an umbrella for us, which was really sweet. My sister and I stayed two days on Samal Island. Getting there was simple and cheap: we took a cab, paid ₱20 for the small ferry across from Sasa Wharf Port in Davao, then ₱25 each for a short tricycle ride to the hotel. We enjoyed the beachfront, large heated pools, restaurants and bar. Our room had a TV, fridge, rubber slippers, plus beach and shower towels. The only things that bothered me were the missing hair blower, a loose toilet seat and a faucet that was a little dirty.

The Christmas Eve / December 25 fireworks from the 2025 Christmas package were memorable, and the pool and festive lights made the area lovely at night. This was another visit for us, and we had a wonderful time relaxing by the beach. Praise God for His provision through the kind people who made it possible. Club Samal is convenient for guests with mobility needs, with accessible paths and an elevator. There was ample parking right beside the hotel, and we were greeted with welcome drinks after the hour-long barge wait and ride. Some of our group came on the private ferry. Our twin-bed room was roomy even with an extra bed, and had a mini fridge, cable TV, a dress cabinet and a well-lit desk. The beach was the best part for us: clean, with white sand and not many coral rocks near the shore. The pool area had clean air-conditioned bathrooms, two places to rinse off sand and seawater, and plenty of beds, chairs and tables. It also had nice spots for photos. We booked through Facebook and paid a deposit online. The reservation was smooth, and the agent helped us choose our departure time from Davao. The boat ride was fast; we were greeted with smiles and drinks, towels were provided, and there were lots of tables and chairs. The waiters were visible and attentive. Food was three out of five for me. There weren't many main course choices, though they had spaghetti, pizza, desserts and drinks, including different flavored juices. The price was affordable, around 1,500php per person at the time. We had a great experience and would definitely return. We didn't stay overnight, so this is only about the resort's general areas.

The beach is simple, but the sand is fine and clean. I liked that it has its own walled-off stretch, unlike places where several resorts share one beach. The pool is large, with a shallow section for kids and a part that's 4ft deep. The resort itself has what you need for a comfortable stay, and it's a good-looking place for pictures.
