OYO 725 Richdel Resort Hotel

The staff were really nice, and the place works for a quick stopover. Our room was on the top floor, though, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. There was only one TV channel, and the laundry hanging around came with a strong soap smell that wasn’t pleasant. The facilities could use some improvement.

The rooms and pool were clean, and this was a good affordable choice for a simple stay. Breakfast was tiny, just two little sausages, toast, and a few bites of salad, so you’ll need to get lunch and dinner elsewhere. There’s tequila at the bar, and I bought their last beer. They said they’d get more tomorrow. No hot tub, but I was happy here since I wasn’t looking for a hotel experience.

The detergent smell was so strong it made it hard to sleep. My sheets had stains, and after I asked for a change, the replacement set had oil marks too. They eventually gave me colored sheets that seemed okay. There wasn’t even hand soap, and the walls are so thin you hear people on the stairs and doors closing. The air conditioner sounded like a tractor, while the shower barely had any pressure. For a place that opened in February 2017, it didn’t seem well cared for. I wouldn’t send someone I cared about here.

The pool is nice, the rates are reasonable, and there are lots of nearby bars and restaurants, mostly Korean owned. But the rooms are tiny, basically just a bed, with nowhere to put your things, so I’m living out of my luggage. Wi-Fi only works in the lobby, not in the rooms or by the pool, and the TV doesn’t work. We rented two rooms, and both had the same air conditioner issue: the knob seems to point to the wrong setting. The units themselves can cool the rooms, but if it’s still hot after a few minutes, try a different setting.
