Coco Grove Nature Resort and Spa

We didn’t get the family room we’d reserved, which was pretty frustrating at first. They did give us two separate, decent rooms instead 😊 The staff were so friendly, and the food was really good.

The WiFi password only works at the front desk. Our room was filthy, the bathroom smelled like something had died, and the shower didn’t work. They gave us no toiletries. The man at the front desk smelled like he hadn’t showered in a month or two. Do not stay here under any circumstances.

It was very quiet here, and breakfast was served on time.

The clean pool was enjoyable, and the restaurant food tasted good. Staff were friendly and helpful with questions, and recommended a multicab for touring around the city, though there’s room for improvement, as many were OJTs. Coco Grove is close to white sand beaches, and guests can use a nearby beach for free even though the hotel has no beach of its own. Our family room had two double beds, an extra bed and a bathroom, and could sleep five, but the extra bed left little floor space. The toilet had a cover but no seat, the water pressure came and went, and millipedes and cockroaches got into the room. Hotel WiFi is pisowifi, so you have to keep paying to use it. A free option would have been nice. The signal was also too low for us to use mobile data.
