Chelle's Guest House and Backpackers - Hostel

Getting around was easy since the place is close to the highway and in the prime area. You can take a tricycle anywhere, and the motorcycle rentals were really convenient. It’s peaceful and quiet, just right if you want to relax. Tita Chelle’s hospitality is what made the stay special. She made us feel at home and gave us an authentic island experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the cute cats were a lovely bonus. We really enjoyed staying here. Thank you, Tita Chells! 💓

The room was roomy, spotless, and had a really comfortable bed. We stayed in the deluxe room with two AC units and had a great time. The owner was lovely and helped us whenever we needed it. We rented a bike there without any trouble. Also, there were lots of cats, including a very cute kitten, plus a sweet dog. Thanks for a really enjoyable stay!

We had electrical problems every night, ants in the room, and an air conditioner that kept breaking down. There was also no water in the shower. When we politely asked when it might be fixed, the owner responded aggressively and in a way we found completely inappropriate. Guests asking basic questions about water or electricity should get a respectful, informative answer, not be yelled at. We also felt her attitude toward us as Israelis was hostile, which made us very uncomfortable. The owner was rude and unprofessional throughout our stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to other Israeli travelers.

The bar and restaurant here are fantastic, and the pool table is the best on the island. It’s right by the bars and restaurants, and only about a 10-minute walk from the beach. I stayed for two very happy months. My room was spotless, with a big comfortable bed, a nice seating area out front, and strong WiFi. Chelles and her staff gave me a lovely welcome and were always around if I needed help or advice. Service was excellent, and you can rent a motorbike here at very competitive rates. I’d definitely recommend it.
