Sabina Beach Resort

I left feeling that the stay added stress to what should’ve been a relaxing beach break. The resort’s strict limits on hours were frustrating, especially since the staff had been polite when we booked. I didn’t feel well accommodated, and the price didn’t feel justified. Management should set rules that fit the kind of place they’re running. Thanks anyway. The villa we stayed in badly needs repairs. The rooms and toilets are old, the stairs felt scary, and the doors had no proper room locks, just one key for a padlock. The place feels like it’s been there a long time.

The beach was clean, parking was available, and the staff were friendly. We could use the grill and cottages for free, and I’d recommend the place, rating it 9 out of 10. Our room had air conditioning, though it wasn’t very cold. Don’t count on Wi-Fi. Some cottages had no light bulbs or electricity. We were told we could leave ₱100 as a refundable deposit for water and a container, but at checkout they said it was a rental fee.

The sea was the one good part. The water was clean, and my family enjoyed it. The accommodation was a mess, though, and I wouldn’t recommend this beach. We regretted booking here. We stayed March 25-26, 2017. The rooms were dirty, especially the toilet. In the living room there was no working outlet, and only one worked in the bedroom, so we had to ask them for a working extension cord. They should have checked everything before check-in. The refrigerator barely worked, the outdoor lighting was poor, the bench was flimsy, and the shower room was bad, with nowhere to put toiletries. The manager or caretaker wasn’t accommodating.

We got to check in early, and breakfast was included. The staff were accommodating, and we could get hot water for tea and coffee. It was so quiet that my partner and I had the whole beach to ourselves.
