The owner helped with tours and scooter rentals, and there’s a little shop on site for things like toothpaste and drinks. Guests can also help themselves to water and coffee and use the kitchen, which made things convenient. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the family and women who run the place put so much care into it. Everyone was incredibly friendly. I ended up staying five nights after a last-minute change to my other accommodation. From the first moment, I felt welcome and at home. My room was basic but spotless, with everything I needed: AC, a fan, outlets, stable Wi-Fi, and a bathroom with cold water, which was fine in the heat. It’s near the road, but set back enough to feel peaceful and idyllic. It was very quiet, with no traffic at night. The value was fantastic, and I’m so glad I found this little gem. Highly recommend it for a peaceful, authentic stay. Thank you for taking me in when I was desperately looking for somewhere to stay. You really saved my holiday.

I stayed at Garden Cabana for five days, and leaving was hard. The staff clearly care, and the garden is full of lush greenery and tropical plants that make the property feel like a private escape. There are cozy seating spots outdoors and a beautiful covered bamboo hut. It’s the kind of place where time slows down. Behind a clean white wall on a quiet, tree-lined road, it feels safe, private, and peaceful. But it also has plenty of personality: a colorful “No Name Bar” and the relaxed “Garden Cabana On Stage” area. It’s a lively tropical hideaway, not a cookie-cutter hotel. If you want a budget-friendly place with charm, warmth, and a real sense of Bantayan, Garden Cabana lives up to its “Home Away From Home” promise. Highly recommended for feeling the island, not just visiting.

The common area is spacious and nicely decorated, with a bar, a kitchen you can use if you ask, free drinking water, and a refrigerator. They also have a simple breakfast for 70P (March 2025), enough to keep you going until lunch. The people were great, and we always had fun together. As long-term travelers, it felt like a little family, and for the price it’s hard to beat. Garden Cabana on Bantayan Island really did feel like a home away from home. We knew it was special as soon as we stepped into the lovely garden. The owner welcomed us and shared local recommendations and general advice about the island. The rooms are small but very clean, and we were comfortable without any problems with storage or space. We used the little private veranda seating area with a table quite a lot. The owners and their four dogs were lovely, and we felt so welcome. Our room and bathroom were really clean, and coffee and water were available for free day and night. We booked a fan room, but when we arrived we could upgrade to an air-conditioned room for a cheap price. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer. Big recommend.
