St. Bernard Beach Resort

It’s a peaceful place to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves, right by the beach and along Anika Beach Resort. There are around 6-8 cottages, each with air-conditioning and its own bathroom, at a reasonable price. MJ Square is about a 5-10 minute drive, while Paradise Beach and The Ruins take 10-20 minutes.

Saint Bernards gave us a relaxing, peaceful stay overall. The resort facilities, marketing, and ads could use a lot of improvement.

The staff were friendly, and being right by a quiet beach was nice. Still, the room was dim, and the place felt more basic and smaller than I expected. There were no dining options, and getting anywhere meant renting a bike because the location was pretty bad. It’ll do if you just need somewhere to crash on the island, but I wouldn’t stay again.

We made special memories here, and I’d love to return. The huts are simple, but have beds, fans, a CR, and windows you can open to let in the breeze. Everything was clean and well maintained during our visit, and the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. The beachfront is small, though you can walk either way along the beach. It was nice to see local children playing in the sand. The beach was clean, with clear, warm water that was great for swimming or just cooling off by wading. Coconut palms provide plenty of shade, and the restaurant served good food at a good price. They’d bring your order right to your hut.
