The inn's central location puts it near restaurants, but also means a lot of noise from nearby clubs at night. The hallways were poorly lit and felt uncomfortably dark when we returned late. Parking was inconvenient too, with room for only one car outside. We booked two rooms for three days and two nights, and one smelled awful, like something had died. My husband heard a whispering voice each night, in Latin or Spanish, that he couldn't make out. One night, someone knocked at around 2 a.m., but nobody was there when we checked. We really felt the room, or maybe the inn, was haunted. Better maintenance and lighting could help, but we won't forget how eerie it felt, and we wouldn't recommend the place.

I do not recommend this place. The location is handy, in the busy tourist area and near restaurants, bars, and the beach, but it isn't directly on the shore. With loud music from nearby bars, it isn't somewhere to stay if you want a quiet break. The room is spacious for the price and mostly clean, though the bathroom needs some HCl cleaning, and I saw a small cockroach there. Even with the fan and AC running at the highest cooling setting, the room stayed uncomfortably hot. At about 2 AM, it was 30 degrees Celsius. The owner's parents handled reception. I stayed for two days and met them several times, but they never smiled or greeted us. Maybe the language barrier played a part, since they kept misinterpreting what I said at check-in. The Filipina woman, the owner's wife, was welcoming. On the second day, my wife asked to rest briefly in the lounge after an early morning walk, but they refused, even though it was empty, and told her to use the table outside our room instead. You can't bring food into the room, and there's no complimentary water, shampoo, or toothpaste.

The location is perfect, and the Filipina woman at reception was very accommodating. But the aircon stopped working, and the lady owner kept nagging us not to touch anything. At checkout, she claimed there were stains on the sheets, and I couldn't understand why the pillow was dirty. They charged a lot for laundry.
