Seda Nuvali Laguna near Tagaytay

We booked 77 rooms for our wedding guests for two nights, but coordinating everything with the hotel was difficult. We told them early how many rooms we needed, then when we tried to finalize payment, they said they could no longer accommodate us. To get all 77 rooms, we had to book through Booking.com, Trip.com, Look, and Agoda. Some guests were given the wrong rooms, especially me, the bride. I checked at least three times whether I had the largest room or the bridal suite, and staff kept insisting my one-bedroom room was the largest and was the bridal suite. That wasn’t true. It was too small for me to do hair and makeup with my bridesmaids, so I had to cancel that plan on my wedding day, which was really disappointing. The groom didn’t get a big room either. For a booking this large, I expected much better coordination, transparency, and customer service. The hotel didn’t make us feel valued.

The peaceful, nature-filled feel of Seda Nuvali made it a lovely place to unwind. We’d stayed at Seda Vertis North last year and liked how convenient its city-center location was, but Nuvali has its own charm. The parking is outdoors, though that’s a small thing compared with the relaxing atmosphere, good service, and friendly people. The staff, from the bellboys and reception to the bar, restaurant, housekeeping, and utility teams, were some of the kindest and most courteous we’ve met. Marie from Misto noticed we had an issue with our keycard and offered help even though it wasn’t her responsibility. Joyce was cheerful and attentive, making Misto guests feel at home. Rhona, Charles, Earl, and Mikael were warm and helpful too. Misto’s buffet had fewer choices than the one at Vertis North, but every dish was delicious, and the room service food was superb. Our sons enjoyed the gym, and the in-room Aruga massage was heavenly. One of our best hotel experiences. Highly recommended.

I spent 10 days here on a business trip. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from three or four malls, so there are plenty of places to shop and eat. My room was spacious and well equipped, with a nice bay window. I used the bulk laundry service, and the clothes came back promptly and well done. The safe in my room wasn’t anchored, so I could lift it out, but the front desk quickly sent someone to drill it into the wall. When I wanted to visit Tagatay, I found out Grab didn’t serve the area. The front desk staff kindly offered to book through another app, which I couldn’t use without a local phone number, and asked me to call when I needed a return cab. Check-in and checkout were quick and accurate, and the staff across the hotel, including the concierge, front desk, breakfast restaurant, and room service, were courteous and supportive. On weekends, it’s probably full of families, which can mean a 10-15 minute wait for breakfast seating. The breakfast spread had a good range of options, though a few items sometimes weren’t refilled, which I don’t think should happen.

The buffet breakfast was okay, but the choices felt somewhat limited. It’d also be more convenient and kid-friendly if the hotel provided separate plates and utensils for children. Still, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would definitely recommend it to families. The compact lobby is smaller than those in other hotels we’ve visited, but the staff more than made up for it with how friendly and welcoming they were from the moment we arrived. Our daughter loved the kiddie club and the large swimming pool, and her 6th-floor room with a pool view made her extra excited. The space was just right for our group, spotlessly clean, and neatly organized. We especially liked the long built-in sofa by the window for relaxing and enjoying the view. Welcome donuts and a complimentary cake for our daughter made us feel cared for. We also booked an in-room massage. A big thank you to Ate Lorna and Cecil for their excellent service.
