We spent hours on the huge balcony, with the sea right in front of us. The coral just offshore is fabulous, and the staff are friendly. You can rent a scooter for 600 a day, and the ferry to Sibulan is a five-minute walk away. Breakfast was average, though the fresh pot of coffee for each person was a nice touch and the bacon was great. One real problem: we had no hot shower water for all five days. They checked and said it was working, but it definitely wasn't.

The staff made this such a helpful base for seeing the whale sharks. Since the hotel is already in Santander, we could sleep in, take a packed lunch, and have only a short drive back to a comfortable room afterward, with the ocean waves in the background at night. Our room was better than I expected, with a lovely water view and a really nice balcony. The hotel itself is wonderful. Food was okay; breakfast was simple but nice, and keeping lunch or dinner orders simple worked best.

I'm still craving their pancit canton. If Santander were just a quick ride away, I'd be first in line for another plate. The pizza was just as tasty.

We held an event at the resort, and the manager kindly lent us some extra props and décor when we needed them. That helped us a lot. The restaurant staff also gave us good suggestions when we asked what to order, and the food and drinks were delicious. If cocktails are your thing, try their signature Sigbin Juice. The resort itself is beautiful, with lovely views and comfortable rooms, and it's an easy short walk from the port. We had a wonderful stay.

The beach isn't the best, which is a pity, but the place is still very recommendable if you want some peace and to wake up to the sea with no other noise. The staff are kind, and the food is good. The location is handy for the harbor and for getting to other islands.
