Bikyeong Hotel and Restaurant

If you're after a high speed, stable Wi-Fi connection, you will not find it here. Water availability and flow are a major problem, especially in the mornings. We made repeated requests and complaints, but they went ignored. Most of the staff seemed poorly trained and unsure what they were doing, and the front desk in particular lacked common sense and courtesy. The maintenance staff did better, bringing us a bucket of water. Yes, a bucket. Still, the hotel sits nicely on a cliff, with a good view of Taal lake and volcano. If you can live with the water and internet problems, it might suit someone after an off the grid, Bear Grylls style survival vacation. Good luck!

I give this hotel 5 pop points for the effort the staff and owner put into providing good service, not for the hotel's quality itself. The place is Korean owned, and the hospitality shown to Filipinos is mirrored in how kind everyone is. They were always smiling. It's not easy to compete with the well known hotels and places in Tagaytay, but I think this could be one of the area's best places to visit in a year or two. The rooms are very spacious, with king size beds. Their good for two rooms can fit 4-6 people, and the breathtaking view of Taal Lake is easy to reach. There are things to improve: the big rooms feel empty, cleanliness could be better because of small cockroaches, the food could be better too, the outside signage is unreadable, and the landscaping needs work.

We tried the unlimited Korean bbq, but it didn't taste authentic at all and felt pricey for the meat served. There were hot dogs, plain pork, plain chicken, and beef seasoned only with salt and pepper. The server said the beef was similar to Bulgogi, but it wasn't. The side dishes were okay. Flies were everywhere, so we had to keep swatting them while trying to eat. The staff were great, at least. But if you're looking for REAL authentic unlimited korean bbq, this isn't the place.

The place was nice with a beautiful view, and we could choose to sit inside or outside. The staff were kind, and the overall visit was nice and cool. The problem was that they didn't know how to process the Korean barbeque voucher we bought through metrodeal.
