The view from our room was a grazing field with a few carabaos, and the hotel itself felt beautiful and clean. This was my first visit to Tagaytay; my cousin picked the hotel for our family to stay the night before his wedding, and said it's one of the older ones in town. The staff were excellent, and I loved the welcoming hotel scent, which I think smelled like sage and white tea. The Christmas tree was lovely too! 😍 We didn't get to try the pool or gym, though both were available. I couldn't quite work out the AC controls, but managed for the night. The location is great for nearby restaurants and gas stations along the strip, but they're not really walkable, so you'll need a car.

The room was comfortable, but breakfast was poorly managed for the number of guests. The line to get into the buffet was long, and dishes ran out soon after being put out, then took a long time to refill. The fried bangus was raw. It would help to have sunny side up eggs ready in the buffet so people don't have to queue for eggs. There was also plastic mixed in with the ice in the juice.

The pool was relaxing and well maintained, and breakfast was decent, satisfying, and good quality for the price. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for three without feeling crowded. One inconvenience was being charged to reheat food, since other hotels usually do that for free. It's a nice Tagaytay stay for the roomy accommodations, breakfast, and pool, though expect a few extra charges.

Loved the room, service, and location! 🤎 Every corner is so instagrammable, haha, next time maybe for a photoshoot. Hotel monticello is the place to go if you want a luxurious, aesthetic, cozy, and elegant vibe. I'll definitely come back!

We've booked here twice on separate weekends while handling wedding errands from QC. On our first stay we left a laundry bag behind, and the staff communicated well and handed it back to us on the next weekend. They even recognize us by name. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, especially ROBY and the woman at reception who checked us in around 8-9pm on 26 Sep, though I didn't get her name. Breakfast was great and the rooms were good too. We'll be back soon, thank you!
