The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was big, with a comfortable bed and clean linens that had a mild scent. We only had two outlets, one for the TV and one for the TV box, so some extra wall sockets or an extension cord would have helped. Given the hotel's location, hot water should be available automatically. We had to ask several times just to get the heater turned on.

My 3-day stay at Tagaytay Econo Hotel, now part of Red Doors, had good and bad points. The room was spacious, with a patio and chairs, and the bathroom was roomy, but the furnishings were outdated. Internet was unreliable, which made it hard to work. Breakfast wasn't a buffet, but it was satisfactory. Better room amenities, especially a more reliable internet connection, would improve the stay.

The price is affordable, and the place is comfortable with a nice view of Taal Volcano. The name really suits what you pay. Just note that you may need to move your room closer to reception to get Wi-Fi.

The viewing deck and restaurant have plenty of space, and there’s a lounge downstairs by the rooms too. I’d pick a loft room if you can, since it gives you a bit of a lake view. The decor looks somewhat dated, but the hotel feels roomy for its size.
