The Carmelence View Villa

The family cabana had a fabulous view, and using the outdoor hot tub and shower while looking at the volcano was amazing. The beds were very soft, breakfast was delicious, and the coffee service was amazing. Finding the hotel was difficult because there’s no sign outside. Stray dogs by the entrance bothered our kids and tried to eat our food. The owner was sleeping near the check-in desk, which felt very strange. The cabana didn’t seem cleaned before we arrived: there were bugs in the bathroom, on the floors, and in the hot tub, plus a large beetle in the toilet. We had to clean the tub ourselves, and it wasn’t very hot. There was no phone in the room. The place was run down and dirty. If the owner kept up with cleaning and maintenance, it could be pristine and amazing.

We spent one night in the top room. It took two flights of stairs to reach, but once there, the room opened up to 360° views. You could sit in bed and take in the scenery, or soak in the tub surrounded by glass windows. What an amazing room. Hands down the best I’ve ever stayed in, and a spectacular choice for an anniversary or special night.

We had a pleasant, peaceful stay in a clean, cool room with a lovely view of Taal Lake. Breakfast, or even just coffee, on the terrace was refreshing. The complimentary wine and ice cream were appreciated, and we enjoyed the hotel cats’ company too. The staff were one of a kind, especially reception and housekeeping. Everyone was kind, attentive, and easy to talk to. The Wi-Fi got spotty at night, and we initially couldn’t figure out the jacuzzi, but staff helped quickly and it turned into a relaxing treat.

My family and I had a great time here celebrating our daughter’s 9th birthday. The room was amazing, the view was awesome, and it left us with a lovely memory. Thanks for the service. God bless!
