For three people we paid just 1500 pesos, saving 300 pesos compared with the other hotel at 599 per person. There are plenty of budget places around Tagbiliran, but some sit farther from the city. This one makes sense if you want to stay in town and walk to malls and restaurants, which also saves on local transport. It's affordable and close to other establishments, with local transportation readily available. We gave it a generous four out of five. The building is a little dated, though maintained. Our double room was spacious enough and faced away from the street, so traffic wasn't noisy. There's no phone to call the front desk, so you'll have to go downstairs if you need something. The old CRT TV worked, and the air conditioning was quite good. The bathroom isn't fancy, but at 500 per head, it's a treat. It wasn't a luxury hotel, but we had a pleasant stay and will come back.

The wifi was strong, and the drinks for sale were very cold, even a bit colder than the front desk people. The rest of the stay was rough. The place needs paint throughout, and the front desk staff were much less friendly than at the other hotels I've stayed at on this trip. During a downpour, the roof leaked into my room and onto my open suitcase on its stand. When I told them, they didn't seem concerned. We had one night to spare and stayed only to avoid packing and moving, and paying for the very expensive taxis in taglibaran. Getting around in Manila and Cebu is cheaper.

Right beside the mall, with a convenience store nearby, plus junk food and soft drinks available in the hostel. The location in Tagbilaran City is good, and check-in went fine. My room and bathroom were clean. The old TVs are a downside if you want to relax with television, and the connection is really miserable.

The staff were friendly and courteous, and the rooms, bathrooms, and linens were clean for a very affordable rate. I had a good stay, though the wifi was a bit weak in the rooms.
