Brittany Hotel BGC

We loved the restaurant, origine, which is in the Micheline Guide 2026! The pool is on the top floor and has wonderful views. It’s shared with another hotel, but that didn’t bother us. Our room was nice, clean, modern, and spacious. The location is great too, in BGC and right across the street from SM Aura Mall.

The rooms at Brittany Hotel are tidy and clean, with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Reception staff were also friendly and helpful, though some street noise does come through. Breakfast remains a letdown, as other guests have said. The cooked eggs and other ready-made dishes were cold, and the filtered coffee tasted like plain water. Coffee from the espresso machine costs 180 pesos, too. It’s a shame they haven’t sorted out this recurring problem when it seems easy to fix. I’ll book Hotel Seda next time.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a great range of freshly cooked food, and the staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming. I might stay again and hope things are cleaner and more comfortable next time. The hotel had been recommended for being affordable and well located. For a place rated four stars, though, cleanliness and hygiene fell short. We found a cockroach in the room and got rid of it ourselves. The comforter cover and pillowcases smelled strongly of used body odor, as if the sheets should have been changed several guests earlier.

The staff really turned things around after a rough start. When we reported the damp room and mould by the window, they acknowledged it, apologized, and moved us right away to a room without those problems. The reception ladies were amazing, and manager Russell S. Monteloyola went above and beyond to make sure we felt heard and looked after. Some rooms, especially the cheaper ones, seem to have ventilation trouble. We arrived to find humidity and mould, which isn’t acceptable for a 4* hotel. Aside from that start, we had a pleasant stay. I’d come back, but would book a premium room since the ventilation issues seem tied to the building and its design, rather than an easy fix.
