Ihotel Uptown Bgc

Stayed a couple of days. It’s a very budget hotel, and the room was kind of small and a little old. The hot and cold water wasn’t working, and the washroom was small too. Still, it wasn’t bad at all. There’s Filipino street food and shops nearby, and since it’s on the main road, cars can get to it easily.

I’d booked walk-in day-use rooms here before, so I don’t understand why they weren’t allowing walk-ins today. I was hoping for a rest day at iHotel and politely asked the receptionist what rooms were available and how to book. They said day-use had to be reserved through the website, but I couldn’t find that option, so they told me to email instead. After I emailed, the receptionist said all day-use rooms were already booked through Agoda. They could have told me that when I first asked. The whole experience ruined my expectations for iHotel, and I wouldn’t stay there if staff act like this.

The room was clean, and there were no crawling insects, but the bathroom had a cracked door and a bad sewage smell. If I left the bathroom door closed, the stench got really strong, so I kept it open, which seemed to clear the smell. The hotel only provides one door key, and I almost locked us out since the key has to be inserted inside.

Good value for the money. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very accommodating. It’s quite close to the BGC party district. Parking is limited if you’re bringing a car.
